package includes

  • We’ll establish care, practice labor coping techniques, discuss what to expect in labor and birth, go over your birth wishes (including assistance with creating a birth plan, if desired), and determine how I’ll best serve you at your birthing time.

  • I will be present for the entirety of your labor and birth, beginning whenever you wish to have me there with you.

    I show up as a witness, present and available for whatever support is needed in the moment. Based on our prenatal conversations, I may offer comfort techniques, massage, acupressure, herbs, rituals, breathing, affirmations, or simply compassionate presence. I may guide your partner(s) in supporting you, or give them a break when they need to rest. I may also assist in advocacy and ensuring informed consent during your labor and birth.

    I provide individualized birth support that is dependent on your wishes. You will be centered in your birth experience.

    I stay with you for one to two hours after the birth, until you are feeling settled in.

  • Within a few weeks of the birth, we’ll meet to review your labor and birth experience. I will answer any questions, provide resources for postpartum support if needed, and ensure you’re adjusting well to new parenthood.

I highly recommend Rose to anyone seeking a birth doula. They played a major role in helping us achieve the birth that we wanted for ourselves and our daughter. Rose’s soothing touch, calm nature and confident knowledge of the birth process are strengths that stand out the most. They are extremely passionate about the birth process as well as empowering mothers and birth partners to feel confident and successful in their birth choices and outcomes. Rose went above and beyond to serve as a support person prior to our labor and delivery, during our daughter’s birth and throughout our postpartum journey. Along with their acupressure and massage therapies, they recommended several different labor tools and techniques aimed to help both our mental and physical well being during all stages of labor.

philosophy of care

You are your own best advocate and healer. It would be my honor to walk alongside you as a witness and support in your birth.

My aim is to provide humanized, somatic, trauma-informed, consent-centered care to families and individuals. It fills me with purpose and inspiration to witness & assist people in claiming their autonomy throughout their pregnancy and birthing process.

I understand that reproductive experiences can bring some of the most potent transformations possible, so I treat them with great honor and respect.

No matter what preferences, family situation, gender identity, race, cultural background, sexual orientation, or goals and desires in their reproductive experience, everyone deserves respect, support, love, and listening— the way they want to receive it.
